Hospital receives pledge for new facility

An amount of $5 million from the Louis Feil Charitable Lead Annuity Trust has been pledged to Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside. This will enable the hospital to build a new state-of-the-art facility, which could be of benefit to residents in nearby Valley Stream.

The facility will span 100,000 square feet and be four stories tall. It will increase the size of the emergency department two-fold, add nine new operating rooms, and increase the inpatient capacity for intensive and critical care to 40 beds. Brochure printing is often used to provide more details about such planned facilities and their services.

In a statement, Chief Executive of the Feil Organization, Jeffrey Feil, said that Mount Sinai South Nassau is the hospital for those in the area and expressed his gratitude to the care it provides for those along the South Shore of Nassau County. He added that everyone is fortunate to such an outstanding medical facility in the area and the family is honored to support its growth.

President of Mount Sinai South Nassau, Adhi Sharma, said that the generous gift of the Feil family will directly impact the care of patients on the South Shore. He expressed his thanks to the family for the support and generosity, and it will be the honor of the hospital to name this new facility in recognition of the family.
