The Holiday Gala of the Malverne Historical and Preservation Society/Joseph L. Landers Restoration is taking place early next month. It is a fundraiser that will provide for the upkeep of the house.
The gala will feature free valet parking. Guests will be treated to hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, and each ticket will come with one free drink. They will also be entertained by a DJ. Those attending are asked to bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated to the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots.
The Joseph L. Landers Restoration dates back to 1854 and sits on eight acres. It was donated by the family to the Malvern Historical and Preservation Society and opened in 1996. A good example of how people lived in the late 1900s and how they decorated their homes, it is currently the location of an exhibit of military memorabilia from various wars.
Tickets to this event may have been provided by local printing companies, and likely will be purchased by people from surrounding areas such as Valley Stream.
The Holiday Gala will take place at the Joseph L. Landers Restoration on December 4 from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Tickets are $35 each and include one drink. To purchase tickets for this event, contact Rosalie at 516-849-955.
