Rockville Centre starts new community groups

A new organization is setting up shop in Rockville Center, and its organizers are hoping that there will be some healthy community input into its development.

The date has been set for the first RVC Village Civic Association meeting, and it is open to all interested residents. According to the event listing, it will provide a way for people to become stakeholders in their hometown, and additional follow-up sessions have been scheduled.

The gathering will outline the organization, including its mandate and what it hopes to accomplish. There will be a discussion of leadership roles and what sorts of skills are needed, and everyone will be able to have their say into making Rockville Centre an even better place to live and work. It will be an opportunity for neighbors to meet and get to know one another, and light refreshments will be served. The Rockville Centre Library will serve as the venue for the occasion.

Neighborhood and other civic organizations provide a way to create community buy in, giving everyone the opportunity to have their say. A brochure printing company can create information packages to hand out to those who attend meetings and other scheduled events.

The first RVC Village Civic Association meeting will welcome one and all on Tuesday, January 7. Its Patch listing provides more information, including the dates for the follow-up sessions.
