Rockville Centre camp series lets off STEAM

Learning about the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) subjects is about to get a lot more fun for Long Island kids, thanks to a program on offer in Rockville Centre.

The Rockville Centre Recreation Center has scheduled several summer camps in partnership with Bricks 4 Kids, and they will all be held in the afternoon on their set dates. Each can accommodate participants from the ages of 5 to 13, and most will have a run time of five days.

The series will kick off at the end of June with a Lego City-themed camp, and each subsequent week will have a different theme. At the end of each installment, campers will walk away with a mini take-home project, and every afternoon will offer the chance to free build, play games, take on challenges, and enjoy arts and crafts. The participants will be able to make new friends, and the instructors will be screened and trained, with a high counsellor-to-child ratio.

Summer camps give kids an opportunity to enjoy supervised fun with friends. Registration Forms, T-Shirts for the counsellors, and other materials for an activity can all be prepared by a printing services company.

Rockville Centre Bricks 4 Kids summer camp series opens next Monday, June 30 and wraps up on Friday, August 8. More details about the program can be found on its website.
