Each year, Long Island beaches attract seals, and a Rockville Centre area program will give the public a way to visit them in their own home environment.
The Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center has brought back its Seal Walk program for another winter. These popular activities bring groups to Jones Beach to observe both gray and harbour seals, and there is no cost to enjoy the experience.
Advance registration is required to take part in one of these visits. Each session will begin with a discussion of the ecology and natural history of seals, and the attendees will also learn about how they migrate every year. After this, the participants will head outdoors to observe seals on the beach and out in the water while they swim, feed, and play. There are only a set number of spaces for these excursions, and each group will meet up at the Jones Beach Energy and Wildlife Center before the event begins.
Brochure printing companies will be able to help provide each attendee with even more details at such events. They can prepare a variety of materials to distribute, perhaps with full color pictures to help identify species.
This chance to visit seals in their own home environment will be held on various dates throughout the winter, with details available on Eventbrite. Reservations are being accepted now for the activity.
