Patricia Sullivan-Kriss, a Rockville Centre resident, has recently been chosen as the New York State Council of School Superintendents’ president-elect.
Ms. Sullivan-Kriss will continue as the advocacy group’s president-elect this year and then step up as the council’s president next year. The council was formed over 100 years ago and now has over 800 members. It provides a means for school administrations to support each other and campaign for the benefit of schools and education with New York State and federal authorities.
Since any career advancement or professional position attained should be reflected on one’s business card, the new president-elect should by rights be contacting her business card printing company to order more cards now and again when she is installed as president. The updating of digital Business Cards should be a priority for her new posting.
Ms. Sullivan-Kriss has risen through the ranks from a special education teacher to the position she holds today, which is that of Hauppauge Union Free School District’ superintendent. Moreover, she has served as the Rockville Centre Education Foundation’s president and remains active in that organization, which raises money to fund school programs that districts cannot afford to fund themselves.
Superintendent Sullivan-Kriss has shown unwavering in her devotion to this city’s education community and lives with her husband and their four children in Rockville Centre.
