Disabled children grow into disabled adults, and a Rochester initiative that provides them with support and services has scheduled its signature fundraiser for this coming fall.
The Blue Jean Ball will raise funds as well as awareness for Homesteads for Hope, and it will take place at its community farm. The organization works to empower disabled adults by offering them opportunities for meaningful employment and inclusion, and many of its activities are agriculturally based.
The gathering will give local members of the public a chance to salute to the hard work and accomplishments of the program’s apprentices, and the suggested dress for the affair is farm chic. The celebration will take place under the stars, and live music will have everyone’s toes tapping. The dinner will be served family style, and the drinks will be flowing at the Watering Hole. An art show and sale and silent auction will wrap up the agenda.
Not for profit organizations often count on fundraisers to help meet the cost of offering their programming. Stationery printers will be pleased to help by preparing programs that provide details about how the monies raised during a function will be making a difference.
Homesteads for Hope’s Blue Jean Ball will bring fun with a purpose to Rochester on September 26th. The location for the festivities will be 2185 Manitou Road, and tickets may be reserved through its website.
