A program that helps Hudson Valley households in need make upgrades and repairs to their home is accepting applications, and Red Hook is one of the communities on the list that will benefit.
The Rebuilding Together initiative provides funding for improvement projects to income-qualified households, and its application cycle for 2025 is open throughout the summer and early fall. Monies will be administered through its Rebuilding Day Program and will support large-scale home repairs.
Those who are interested can use the funding to improve their home’s accessibility, energy efficiency, and overall quality, and the program will also be extended to not-for-profit groups that can use a hand when it comes to infrastructure upgrades and repairs. Seniors, disabled persons, families with young kids, veterans and currently serving military members are some of the groups encouraged to apply. Projects such as installing ramps, stairlifts, electrical system, and roof repairs and other structural improvements are just some of the tasks that will be undertaken.
Services agencies and other not-for-profit groups can help to fill holes in a community's social safety net. A brochure printing company can prepare informational materials for an organization at a budget-friendly price.
The application cycle for the Rebuilding Together 2025 initiative is open now and runs until September 30. More information and a link to apply are available on the Red Hook government website.
