Street fair returns to New Rochelle

The Street Fair and Music Festival is returning for the third consecutive year later this month, lighting up New Rochelle.

There is no charge for admission and the event is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department of New Rochelle, along with the Council on the Arts, Downtown BID, and the Chamber of Commerce for the City. Other donors include New Rochelle Future, the New Rochelle Police Foundation, and the New Rochelle Police Benevolent Association, as well as media sponsors WFAS, News 12, and WVOX.

Main Street will be closed to vehicles as close to 100 artists, crafters, merchants, and vendors line both sides of the street. There will also be games, inflatable rides and attractions, foods with an international flair, and the inaugural ‘People’s Choice’ motorcycle show, together with family friendly activities from New Rochelle Future ‘Open Streets’. Local and regional talent will be on sound stages at both Centre Avenue and Memorial Plaza.

Most likely, the sponsors and donors are working together with local poster printing companies to create a colorful and attractive poster with more information about the event, as they hope to encourage as many people as possible to attend.

The date of the Fair and Festival is Sunday, September 13 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Main Street between Centre Avenue and North Avenue.
