New scholarship to be offered by college in New Rochelle

An expanded scholarship program for first responders who want to advance their studies in graduate school is being offered by Iona University in New Rochelle. This scholarship will be in the form of a 20 percent discount on tuition for eligible students.

To be known as the First Responder, Medical and Safety Personnel Scholarship, the program will offer students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher an additional discount of five percent.

First responders who are looking to advance in their career or move to a new career will benefit most from this scholarship. This scholarship also offers opportunities for those who may want to teach or start a career in a leadership position.

Among the graduate degree programs which are available for the scholarships are criminal justice, computer science, education, teaching, and nursing. The scholarship can also be used towards a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in marketing, management, information systems, financial management, accounting, and business analytics.
