An Affordable Housing Open House will be hosted by the city of New Rochelle early this month.
This Open House will inform both existing and prospective residents of new local housing opportunities, the upcoming housing lotteries for affordable rental housing that have been recently developed in the city, the latest sustainability initiatives available to homeowners, and the First Time Home Buyer Down Payment Assistance Program.
Information about the Section 8 housing assistance program of the city will also be covered.
There will be 500 new affordable housing units available in downtown New Rochelle this year. This will include Highgarden Tower, which is a mixed-use development that has options for affordable housing for those who earn between 60 and 80 percent of the average median income in the area; West View Apartments, with 185 affordable housing units; and 500 Main Street, which will offer 11 affordable housing units. The latter two will be for those who earn between 50 and 60 percent of the average median income in the area, and will be opening later this year.
Such events often lend themselves to brochure printing to provide more details about housing developments like these, and the takeaway from the occasion.
This event will take place in the Rotunda in City Hall from 4:00pm to 8:00pm next Thursday, March 7.
