The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada recently honored the City of New Rochelle for its excellence in financial reporting.
The City was given the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its report of financial data for the fiscal year 2015. The award has been given to the City for 25 years and is a form of recognition which is the highest in the area of government financial and accounting reporting, commented a spokesperson from New Rochelle.
City Manager Charles B. Strome, III, added that the Finance Department is to be commended for receiving this distinguished honor once again and is a tribute to the integrity and professionalism of the department.
Tracy Yogman, Finance Commissioner, said that the certificate recognizes the work of the entire staff of the department and is an important achievement.
Those who are interested in seeing the certificate can view it in the New Rochelle Public Library or in City Hall at the Clerkâs office. The Government Finance Officers Association most likely looked to printing services so that hard Copies of the certificate could be made available for the public.
The certificate is judged by a panel which is impartial and is awarded only to those governmental agencies which demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate their financial status.Get a Free Quote for Copies
