New Rochelle college to hold reunion weekend in the fall

Reunion Weekend for 2020 at Iona College in New Rochelle is planned for October.

The class years that end in zeros and fives will be celebrating, especially the Class of 1970, which will be commemorating its 50th anniversary. Reunion this year will held in conjunction with Homecoming 2020.

Flyer printing can be used to inform those who graduated from such colleges about such cheerful events.

Among the festivities on the schedule are the All-Class Reunion Gala and Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening, preceded by the Golden Gaels Dinner Celebrating the Class of 1970 and the Jubilarian Celebration on Friday evening. Academic regalia will be worn by Golden Jubilarians the at their event.

Among the awards to be given out on Saturday evening are:

• the Founders Award for Outstanding Service to the College to Victor A. Stanionis, Ph.D., class of 1960
• the Award for Humanitarian Service to George J. Morris, class of 1970
• the Award for Distinguished Service to the Alumni Association to Johnine N. Clark, Esq., class of 1984
• the Award for Outstanding Achievement to Rosemary Cordasco class of 1985; Michael Deegan, class of 1975; Caroline Frawley, class of 1985; and John McIvor, class of 1954

The Reunion and Homecoming Weekend is due to be held from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18.
