Joel Quintong will become the dean of students at Iona College in New Rochelle.
This will be a new position in the new Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at the college and will enable it to provide an exceptional experience for students, focusing on creating and executing new strategies that enhance student enrollment, satisfaction, success, and retention. Announcements of such new positions are often made known throughout the college community with poster printing.
Quintong is a distinguished professional with nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and will coordinate and supervise the daily efforts of the department, which oversees student activities and engagement, campus safety, health and wellness, and both residential life and commuter services.
Senior vice president for Enrollment and Student Affairs, Kevin O’Sullivan, expressed his excitement about welcoming Quintong to the college, stating that his educational background and experience are ideal for the campus community and student body. He added that the overall student experience and the education and development of the students will be enhanced with this new position, as the college looks to prepare leaders who can think outside the box.
Quintong has both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Boston College, and a second master’s degree from Sacred Heart University. He has worked at both Boston College and Sacred Heart in areas of student affairs.
