New chief academic officer appointed at local university

The new senior vice president of academic affairs and provost at Iona University in New Rochelle is Tricia Mulligan, Ph.D.

Mulligan joined Iona in the fall of 2002 as an assistant professor of international studies and political science. She increased her responsibilities in the administrative ranks and become the first associate provost for strategic academic initiatives in 2015, then followed this up in 2021 by becoming the first vice provost. She was instrumental in building the strength of the university in the areas of academic growth, faculty support, and efforts to retain and recruit students. She was appointed interim provost in 2022 with responsibilities for over 400 employees, as well as the annual academic budget.

The formalization of such positions often requires business card printing services.

Mulligan expressed her honor in serving as the new chief academic officer at Iona. She said that she considers it a great privilege to be able to engage with students as they follow their collegiate journey, and looks forward to collaborating with the dedicated community of faculty and staff.

Seamus Casey, Ph.D., president of the university, drew attention to Mulligan’s significant contributions to the Iona community over the years. He added that the continued success of Iona has been made possible by her guidance and leadership. He expressed his thrill in welcoming her as the new provost and senior vice president of academic affairs.
