Iona College in New Rochelle now has a new name – Iona University.
Such important changes in the status of an institution often require Stationery printers, as changes need to be made to Letterheads, Business Cards, and other related printed materials.
In a statement, Seamus Carey, Ph.D., President of Iona University, said this change reflects the prestige and quality of an education at the college, and that it will support the continued growth of the institution as it attracts high-quality students from across the country. He added that although the name of the institution will be different, the legacy that has been inherited by the university and its values and mission will remain the same.
During the past two years, Iona was among the first colleges to close and then among the first to re-open. Carey’s leadership has enabled the university to stand unique among its peers, with enrollment increasing 35 percent in three years and the college acquiring a second campus in Bronxville to expand its programs to establish the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences.
Chair of the Iona University Board of Trustees, Michael Hegarty, class of 1966, said that becoming a university demonstrates the great work of the leadership and the faculty, and it will enable the university to continue to be a premier institution of higher education.
Noam Bramson, Mayor of New Rochelle, expressed his congratulations to the Iona community, which has played an important role in the city for the past 80 years.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Letterheads Get a Free Quote for Stationery
