Federal agency and New Rochelle college team up for recruitment

The United States Secret Service is partnering with Iona University in New Rochelle to hold recruitment sessions for students at this and other universities in the area to expedite the hiring process.

Local Print shops can help spread the word about such sessions throughout a campus community and the wider region by creating Flyers and other printed materials.

Agents from the United States Secret Service have already spoken at several criminal justice classes at the university about opportunities for careers in the agency, in addition to agency duties, qualifications, and possible internships.

Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office of the Secret Service, Patrick J. Freaney, expressed his excitement on behalf of the agency to recruit these new Secret Service officers, agents, and professionals. He said the goal is to provide students with the information and insight they need to get a head start on a career with the Secret Service.

Assistant vice president for Enrollment Management and Career Initiatives at the university, Matthew Cardin, was also excited about the partnership and the chance to serve as a hub for the agency. He is looking forward to meeting the students who take advantage of this opportunity.

Guidance during the application process for students interested in this opportunity will be provided by the Gerri Ripp Center for Career Development.
