The Grand Market in downtown New Rochelle recently opened for the season. Located in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green, it will be open on Saturdays for the next few months.
Organizers of the market have said there will be more family-friendly activities and attractions for both children and adults this season, as well as several new vendors, including a dumpling maker, cheesemonger, and coffee roaster.
Ralph DiBart, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District which is presenting the market, said that even though the event has been around for five years, it gets better every year.
He added that with the new activities and vendors, the market will become more like a weekly festival that people will look forward to coming to at weekends.
R&R Produce and Migliorelli Farm will be returning with fresh produce, as will Walter’s Hot Dog truck offering the most popular hot dogs in the county. New vendors will include Bambino Ravioli Pastifico, offering fresh pasta; Sonny Orza Bread Factory, making hand-made breads in all styles; and Dr. Pickle, providing various pickled items.
The market will continue every Saturday through October 27th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
