College in New Rochelle to offer special scholarship

A new scholarship will be offered by Iona College in New Rochelle that will dramatically reduce tuition costs for those eligible for it.

Those students from a high school of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers who plan to be full-time freshmen and are admitted to the college for the first time will be able to receive half of their tuition paid to Iona, which can be renewed as long as these students continue their full-time college enrollment. Details about such scholarships are often made available with brochure printing and sent to interested students.

Senior vice president for Enrollment and Student Affairs, Kevin O’Sullivan, said the goal in creating this scholarship was to draw students to the college who are interested and are among the most talented. He added that it also deepens the commitment of the college to the mission of the Christian Brothers who founded the college in 1940. He was quoted as saying:

“The new scholarship helps Iona deliver on our foundational promise of providing a transformative education for a great value.”

Those students who want more information about this scholarship can meet with a counselor from Admissions and Financial Aid with in-person or online so as to provide a more personalized experience. The deadline for applications for this scholarship is Monday February 15.
