College in New Rochelle makes prestigious list

Iona University in New Rochelle has been named on the Best Colleges list for 2025 by U.S. News and World Report.

The university was recognized by the publication as one of best institutions in the country for its undergraduate nursing and business programs. It was also highlighted as a Top Performer on “Social Mobility” and a “Best Value School.”

Such news that highlights the achievements and accomplishments of a university is often disseminated throughout campuses and the surrounding community with flyer printing.

Seamus Carey, Ph.D., president of Iona, said that the university does not look to be ranked, but that it is rewarding when this does happen. He added that this underscores the hard work carried out across the campus and reflects the success of the students both inside and outside the classroom.

In addition, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and The Princeton Review have added Iona to various prestigious national lists as one of the best colleges in the country. The Center on Education and the Workforce of Georgetown University also ranks a degree from the university in the top 5% in the country for long-term return on investment, which demonstrates the earning power of an education from Iona.

The three schools of Iona University—the School of Arts and Science, the New York-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences, and the LaPenta School of Business—offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees.
