Boys & Girls Club to host charity event

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle will be holding its major fundraising event ‘Be Great’ in a week’s time.

The event is a cocktail party for the community, set up in appreciation of the businesses and individuals that support charitable organizations like the Boys & Girls Club. There will be dinner, a silent auction of goods and services, and dancing. Proceeds of this event go to support the many resources available to families, as well as the programs offered to almost 2,000 children every year.

Several honorees will also be recognized at the event. These include Robin Frankel and Jim Roth as Great Family, Brad Garfield of North Ridge Productions as Great Business, and Carol Kelly from Davis Magnet as Great Educator.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has five locations throughout the city at with people between the ages of 6 and 18 have access to homework help, tutoring, arts and crafts, leadership training, and other programs that help them to develop the skills, values, and behaviors they need to be successful in life.

The event is on Saturday March 14 beginning at 7:00 pm. The club most likely used a flyer printing company to share details on how individuals and businesses in the community can become a 2015 ‘Be Great’ supporter.
