TV alum due for comedy shows

Preacher Lawson will do his standup routine in late September.

Lawson will do shows over the course of three days as the show is expected to attract audiences from surrounding towns, including nearby New City. Preacher will say he’s from Orlando, despite moving many times and being born elsewhere. He says this is where he truly grew into his comedy. He has won several comedy awards, also competing on the hit NBC show “America’s Got Talent”, and making his television debut on “Last Call With Carson Daly”. He owes his career to a bet with his mother, who pushed him to perform a year after he started writing at 16.

Other stops on his tour include Virginia, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Maryland to name a few. In a few cases he will be doing multiple shows a day. Information about each show can be found through his website.

Levity Live in West Nyack will be hosting the shows. Due to the ongoing pandemic, safety measures will be at an all-time high. In addition to other measures, floor decals with a graphic design will be in place to help with distancing.

Preacher will be doing two shows on his first two days at the venue, and one on the third day. On September 24th, he will go on at 7:30pm and 9:45pm respectively. On the 25th, he will do his first set at 7:30pm, but begin his second at 9:30pm. On the 26th, he will start at 7:00pm. At the time of writing, tickets were not available, but they may start to pop up closer to the show dates. Levity Live in West Nyack is located in the Palisades Center.
