Pruning workshop promotes skills New City area gardeners

A gardening workshop has been announced near New City for this November, and interested individuals in the area who sign up can learn new skills or enhance their existing ones.

The Deciduous Pruning Workshop, which is being put together by Maple Leaf Bonsai, will welcome interested parties who wish to learn essential bonsai pruning tips to ensure their trees remain healthy. Students who attend can look forward to a hands-on learning experience where immersion helps them build or add to their knowledge.

It is likely to be an ideal opportunity for individuals who own Japanese maple, beech, elm, and other deciduous trees as part of their yard or houseplant collection. The experienced instructors will share their knowledge and help each student learn to prune and trim with confidence. Printing services can add to the learning experience at workshops like this by providing sturdy instructional documents that students can take home for further learning.

Primary focuses at the event include seasonal pruning techniques, knowing which branches to prune, ideal aftercare and winterization practices, and ways to improve branch structure.

Space is limited and the workshop is expected to fill quickly. It will be held at 1040 NY 45 in neighboring Pomona, with the doors opening at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 14. Registration is open online for $23.17 per guest.
