The list shows that people in New City should be able to get their COVID vaccines at New City Pharmacy. Genoa Healthcare and Bardonia Pharmacy are representing Valley Cottage. Several Walgreens pharmacies, including the one located in New City, are also on the list.
Ed Day, the County Executive, put out a statement saying:
“We appreciate New York State finally providing us with this current information about vaccine allocation within Rockland. We need to know where the vaccine is going so we can properly assist residents as they seek appointments, particularly our senior residents.”
John Lyon, Rockland County’s spokesman, said that the county put up links that go to the pharmacies’ website so that people have an easy way to get more information about the vaccine. He also said that he was not sure about whether the state would keep this information updated regularly. Information like this is often produced with official Letterheads.
Back in January, the state’s Department of Health sent out information on Week 6’s vaccine allocation, and according to Rockland County spokesman John Lyon, that was the first time the state had shared any such information since the program began. No information was received in Week 7. Day feels that these updates should continue in order for vaccine distribution to proceed fairly and efficiently.
