New City residents seeking to pick up valuable culinary skills will want to circle the date, as a knife and butchering course is being offered to interested parties.
The Food Enthusiast Class: Knife Skills and Butchering will begin welcoming students next month. It will provide a memorable evening of learning new skills from a culinary expert while creating friendships with like-minded individuals. The course will be led by Chef Steve, who will demonstrate and teach knife skills and butchering through a step-by-step immersive process.
Chef Steve will begin by butchering a chicken and cutting assorted vegetables to prepare the meal for the learning session. Attendees will leave the culinary session with lifelong skills that can serve them in the kitchen and beyond while cooking new recipes. Printing services are an excellent way to share Copies of recipes while providing actionable tips to students at such learning workshops.
The students will prepare a meal of roasted chicken, sweet potato corn, pepper hash, and garden-fresh ratatouille. The class size is limited to 20 students, sharing ten different workstations. Students will receive snacks upon arrival, and each participant will take the food they prepare home.
Rockland Community College’s Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center will host the workshop on Wednesday, November 6th, from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Registration costs $76 per student and can be booked online.
