A local artist from Rockland County named Jacqueline Fiore will be hosting her first solo exhibition called “Through a Woman’s Lens.” The presentation will feature abstract works.
Fiore’s work is characterized by line drawings that include vivid colors painted abstractly. Textures, shapes, and lines are her preferred modes of exploration. When starting a new piece, she begins with a simple object, person or shape and then adds more paint as she allows her imagination to guide her strokes as the image Forms. The lines fall away to be replaced by a new and exciting image.
Fiore stated that her goal with her work is driving the viewer to start a conversation. She uses that canvas to capture the simple moments in life that are often overlooked or intentionally forgotten because of the dark feelings that they bring up. Vivid colors, edgy lines and strong brushstrokes are used to make these difficult emotions easier to process. Flyer printing can be used to promote such an event.
Through a Woman’s Lens is scheduled to be on display starting on 12th March and will open to the public until 29th March. The opening reception is scheduled to take place on 14th March at the Piermont Fine Art Gallery near New City in New York. The gallery will be open from 1-6 pm on Thursdays and Sundays and from 1-9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
