Families in New City who want to learn more about the surrounding area and its lore may want to make a note in their Journals, as a historical program is coming to town.
The Family Program: Imps of Donderberg and Lore of Rockland County is getting ready to welcome guests who want to learn more about the myths, legends, and lore of New City and beyond. The event will be led by the county’s best storyteller, Jonathan Kruk, and is designed for children in 2nd grade and beyond.
The stories will cover lore related to pirate treasure, Native American guides, ghost imps, and patriots from the American Revolution. The event’s storyteller, Kruk, is best known for his solo shows covering The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and A Christmas Carol. Flyer printing is one of the most effective ways to build awareness and generate excitement for community events like this.
Attendees will learn more about why the Hudson River flows in two directions, the last Sachem of the Nyacks, and a local witch from Rockland County history. Organizers are hoping the event will be a Sunday afternoon packed with adventure and exciting tales for all ages.
