The Annual Youth Forum and Awards Dinner is coming up later this month at the Nyack Seaport.
At this event, the Service Awards for 2015 will be given to deserving youth, adults and organizations by the Rockland County Youth Bureau and its Board of Directors, and Rockland County Executive Ed Day.
Day commented that the honorees this year have demonstrated their dedication to the communities and all residents of Rockland County, in which Nanuet is located. There is special significance to the event this year as it is the 35th anniversary of the Youth Forum. Local Print companies may be used to print special Posters about the forum and the recipients of the individual awards.
Seniors Kobi Axelrod from Clarkstown South High School, and Kelly Houlihan, from Albertus Magnus High School will receive the Joseph A. Myers Service to Youth Award. This award is given based on volunteer community service.
Catherine O’Brien will receive the Dennis J. Fleming Award for her long-term involvement in making sure programs, services, and opportunities are available in the community to help youth develop their full potential.
Lynch’s Restaurant of Stony Point will receive the Youth Forum Business Award and Francis R. Nardi will receive the Father F. Peter Malet Award for his 30 years of service to those of all ages in Rockland County.
