The Greatest All-Stars Sports Grill recently held a soft opening in New York City.
The bar and restaurant is dedicated to honoring past and present athletes in Rockland County, so those in nearby Nanuet will no doubt want to try out the new eatery to see what it has to offer.
The guest of honor at the soft opening was former New York Yankees outfielder Roy White. Although he was not born in Rockland County and does not live there now, over the past 25 years he has been holding clinics in the county. He considers it a second home to his real home in New Jersey.
He donated an autographed jersey to the restaurant and it will be one of many displayed at the restaurant. Bill Willows came up with the concept of the Greatest All-Stars Sports Grill to honor those who have previously played professional sports but also to recognize newcomers to the industry.
The restaurant is decorated with memorabilia from players and teams from Rockland County. Willows said he will add a big-screen television which face the street so that highlights of the varsity seasons can be shown alongside the latest sports action from Rockland players.
Venues like the Greatest All-Stars Sports Grill might consider using Flyers or mailers to attract people to special evenings like this. The official opening is set for later this month.
