Program honoring military to be hosted in Nanuet region
Nyack will be hosting its Military Tribute Banner Program this spring.
This program is a way to honor the active duty, reserve, national guard, and veterans in the community. Such programs may be of interest to residents in nearby Nanuet.
The cost of each banner is $150, which includes a full-color banner honoring the person with a patriotic design, a display that measures 19 inches by 38 inches with a photograph and basic military information about the honoree, and the family or business name printed on the banner.
Banners for those lost due to war or its effects from 1990 to the present will be displayed and produced for no cost. The town said that this is their way of honoring these individuals and their families for the sacrifice made in service to this country. On the order form for the banner, people need to indicate that they are a recipient of a Gold Star banner.

Banner printing will be no doubt be underway now, as Broadway and Main Street will be displaying them from Memorial Day through Veterans Day this year.
