New delivery station to open near Nanuet

In an effort to improve its last-mile operations, Amazon Logistics is looking to open a new delivery station in Rockland County in the town of Blauvelt.

Residents of Nanuet may be interested in this delivery station as there will be openings for both part-time and full-time jobs, as well as both salaried and part-time positions. The e-retail giant has said that the minimum hourly wage will be $15, with many types of benefits packages to be offered. Business card printing services may be needed by those in the salaried managerial positions.

Amazon will also be opening another delivery station in the region of the Hudson Valley, with that one to be in New Windsor. The company has more than 150 delivery stations in the United States.

Emily Hawkins, a spokesperson for Amazon, expressed the company’s excitement about investing in the state of New York. She added that this new delivery station will create hundreds of job opportunities for those in the area, and provide efficient delivery for customers.

Amazon has said that delivery stations are designed for entrepreneurs to develop their own business by delivering packages for the company. Independent contractors are also afforded the chance to create their own schedules for Amazon Flex and be their own boss. The delivery station in Blauvelt is expected to open by the end of this year.
