Nanuet looks to help those in need

Giving Tuesday will be at the end of the month, and several entities in the Nanuet area are requesting donations or volunteers.

One is People to People Inc, which provides food, clothing, and other essential items to families and individuals facing financial hardship in the area.

The focus of the non-profit is veterans, the elderly, and vulnerable families.

Keep Rockland Beautiful is an environmental organization that serves both Rockland County and Nanuet. The organization arranges educational programs, clean-up events, and other initiatives to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the community.

Meals on Wheels delivers meals to elderly and homebound individuals in Nanuet and throughout Rockland County. The organization ensures that clients receive not only nutritious meals, but wellness Checks, and looks to promote both companionship and nourishment.

Habitat for Humanity of Rockland County is part of an organization that is a non-profit around the world that builds affordable housing for families with low incomes. The organization works to create opportunities for homeownership and to create living environments that are more stable for residents in Nanuet and neighboring communities.
