The DoubleTree by Hilton recently announced that it will be opening a DoubleTree by Hilton Nanuet located near the Village of Nyack.
The hotel was previously a Comfort Inn and Suites, and Rockland Hospitality Associates, LLC, which owns the hotel, invested several million dollars into it. There are 156 guest rooms, studio and king suites, which have been fully updated, revamped public areas and a lobby that has been completely redesigned.
Additional amenities at the hotel will include Wi-Fi in all the guest rooms and public areas, a 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center, indoor pool and hot tub, and outdoor sun deck. Shuttle service will also be offered Monday through Friday within a five-mile radius of the hotel.
One of the new features will be the Windsor Grille Bar and Lounge, with foods from local sources and many signature dishes. There will also be a prix fix menu for an upscale culinary experience.
According to the general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Nanuet, Jeff Weinberger, the location is ideal for those wanting to visit historic Rockland County. It is 28 miles from the United States Military Academy at West Point and close to Bear Mountain State Park. He adds that there are many world class restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities also nearby.
