Holiday shopping event features Nanuet businesses
A ‘Shop Local’ event will be held in Nanuet at the Comfort Inn later this week, sponsored by the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce.
Local businesses will be showcased so they can sell their services and products in time for the holiday season. There will also be a dessert extravaganza.
The Chamber has used flyer printing encouraging local businesses to register for a table and generate enthusiasm in the community to attend the event, which is free to the public. There will also be door prizes. The event is also being advertised as a way for businesses to network with those in the community.
According to Risa Hoag, president of the Chamber, the goal of the evening is to have a place in which local business owners can be showcased, thus also helping the local economy. In addition, residents can learn more about businesses in the area and purchase their services and products in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
The mission of the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce is to promote and support the civic, cultural, and business activities of Nanuet through the use of networking, leadership, and advocacy so that the community is strong, prosperous, vibrant, and environmentally sound.
