Grocery store launches turkey campaign in Nanuet
Stop & Shop is kicking off its annual Turkey Express program at its store in Nanuet.
This program is an initiative dedicated to donating meals for the holiday to families and hunger relief organizations in time for Thanksgiving. It is supported by Shady Brook Farms, with 500 turkeys for Thanksgiving being donated to the Food Bank of Hudson Valley. Joe Morris and Stephen Baker, alumni of the New York Giants football team, will be helping with the distribution of these turkeys.
Local printing services can help with the creation of posters and other materials that can be displayed throughout the community, so that those in need know where they can go for help.
Marketing Manager for Shady Brook Farms, Hannah Kern, expressed her thrill in continuing this partnership with Stop & Shop and being able to work together to give back in a meaningful fashion, and support families in need. Kern added that if it is possible to make local families’ holidays a bit brighter with a nutritious and tasty turkey dinner, the company knows it is making an impact in the community.
There will be many Turkey Express donation events throughout the Northeast during the month featuring many more surprise guests and celebrities. These events will be at regional food banks, Stop & Shop stores, and partners in the community.
