Family-run paint and home decorating store opens in Nanuet
Wallauer Paint & Design recently held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open its newest store in Nanuet. Local officials were on hand for the event.
The company has its headquarters in White Plains and is a fourth-generation family business, owned by the Duncan family who opened the first store in 1921. It has 17 locations throughout New York State.
It specializes in the Benjamin Moore line of paints, and products, painting equipment, sundries, and repair services for both consumers and contractors. The company also offers window fashions from Hunter Douglas, designer wallpaper, decorative hardware, and design services.
Employees at the stores pride themselves on their advice and providing the latest decorating tips. A Patch.com article notes that homeowners, contractors, and painters have considered the store to be a destination for knowledge about painting and home decorating products.
Design Director and employee of the company for 40 years, Kimberly Scappaticci, said the company is excited about bringing its services and products to Rockland County. She considers it to be a growing market and the company decided it was time to bring its customer support and quality products to the county.
Promotional pens are often distributed at this type of grand opening event, so they can be distributed throughout the community to make people aware of new store openings.
