There will be 12 two-bedroom apartments and 81 one-bedroom apartments in the complex of three buildings that will be called Vincent’s Village. There will be 35 of these apartments reserved for the frailer elderly households. Many energy-efficient features will be part of the project.
Rockabill Development, LLC. and the Sisters of Charity Housing Development Corporation are the co-develops for the project. There will be two buildings in the community with a computer room, a fitness room, and support services, such as social activities, counseling, care coordination, and health monitoring, which the Sisters will provide.
Printing services can be used as well so that residents of such communities can have more detailed information about these activities and services.
Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul commented that:
“This project will add affordable, quality housing for seniors with the health and support services they need.”
Vincent’s Village is also close to shopping and other amenities as well as public transportation, including the Pascack Valley Line of New Jersey Transit. TRIPS, the paratransit service of Rockland County, and Rockland County Mini Trans will also provide local transportation.
