Rockland Community College (RCC) in Suffern and St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) in Sparkill will be partnering in an initiative for housing and student engagement.
The partnership will enable students to employ the STAC Tracks program to advance their career and educational opportunities. Students who are residents of Nanuet may want to take advantage of this.
The initiative will begin this fall and will enable students from RCC to live and be part of the campus life at STAC while still working towards their associate degrees at RCC. They will be able to take advantage of dining facilities, clubs, health and wellness activities, and participate in other activities as if they were a student at STAC. These students will also be able to streamline pathways for transfer options and financial assistance to complete the requirements for bachelor and master’s degrees programs. Brochure printing is often employed to provide more details about such programs.
President of RCC, Dr. Michael A. Baston, said that this partnership is exciting for students at RCC. He added that many students want to remain close to home and have both an affordable education and a valuable career. He said this agreement ensures that students at RCC will have a strong foundation on campus and then be able to easily transfer to St. Thomas Aquinas, while being afforded the resources of both colleges.
