Rockland Community College (RCC) in Suffern will be holding a job fair early next month. Residents of Nanuet looking for employment will surely want to attend this fair as it is the largest of its kind in the lower Hudson Valley.
There will be employers from both the private and sectors representing a wide range of industries, including retail and customer service, hospitality, the armed services, and healthcare. It is expected that over 100 employers will be at the job fair with openings for entry-level, part-time, full-time, and professional positions. Print shops are often hired for such events to create Booklets with more information about the attending companies and details about open positions.
There is no fee for jobseekers, and they are encouraged to dress for success and bring many Copies of their résumé.
Executive Director of Student Success at RCC, Joe Falco, commented that this annual event provides an opportunity for attendees to have face-to-face interactions and conversations with mentors and colleagues, showcase their skills, and hear first-hand what companies are looking for in ideal candidates. Career Services for Students and Alumni at RCC provides career counseling, internships, and job placement.
The job fair will be held at the Eugene Levy Fieldhouse at RCC on Tuesday, April 7 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
