College holds information sessions on programs this month
Rockland Community College in Suffern is currently holding registration for the spring semester 2019 for those students who are currently enrolled full-time and those enrolled in full-credit, seven-week flex-start classes.
People in nearby Nanuet will most likely be interested in the several informational sessions the college will be holding for its unique programs.
One of the sessions will be for a career as a certified occupational therapy assistant (OTA). At the session, the application process will be reviewed, along with what is expected from a professional-level OTA program. This session will be held on Monday, January 7 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
Another session will be on the automotive technology program and is held at the Herbert Kurz Automotive Technology Center in Orangeburg. The center is over 27,000 square feet in size and features five classrooms, 10 lifts, customized Snap-on (the high-end tool manufacturer) equipment, and a lab and certification room for Snap-on certifications. The center offers over 15 workforce and Snap-on certifications. The information session will also be held on Monday, January 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Lastly, there will be a session on human performance studies where students learn about the fields of physical education, athletic training, and exercise science. The session will be held Monday, January 14, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
