Melville program to provide free training in plumbing

The Plumbing Institute, which is located in Melville and pat of the Plumbing Contractors Association of Long Island (PCALI), has opened enrollment for its next class.

This program is fully funded and is designed to train those interested in plumbing to obtain their license and create a path for employment. Admission is on a first come, first served basis as there is a limit of 25 students in the program.

The Institute provides a foundation to begin a career in plumbing. Hands-on training combined with real world experience is at the core of the program, helping those who attend to obtain the practical skills they need to enter the field of plumbing and maintenance.

Brochure printing is often used to provide more details about such programs, how to apply, and the benefits reaped from them.

Jeff Connelly, president of PCALI, said the goal of the Institute is to strengthen the industry of plumbing on Long Island. He added that this program will help to prepare the next generation that enters the field, while also supporting the continued growth of the association.

The first class of the program was held last September. The director of the PCALI Plumbing Institute, Joe Enea, said the students in that cohort have already benefited from networking opportunities and strong exposure to the industry.
