Cona Elder Law in Melville has launched its “Caregivers Circle,” offering free practical and emotional support for those caring for aging family members.
Sessions are designed to provide a structured and safe space for those caring for elderly people, helping them navigate the challenges this can bring.
Sessions follow a consistent structure, starting with welcomes, introductions, and agreed-upon ground rules for respect and confidentiality. They then move into guided discussions where caregivers share personal stories, challenges, and concerns, before ending with self-care reflections, practical tips, and next steps to support their own well-being.
Anticipated topics include coping with grief, building social networks, handling new medical diagnoses, caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, and preparing for end-of-life decisions.
Organizers of these sessions say this program reflects the broader holistic approach of the firm to elder law by going beyond legal transactions and estate planning to address the practical and emotional realities families face when caring for elderly adults. Such law firms can use brochure printing and other printing services to provide more details on their initiative and how their clients can benefit from them.
The program began at the start of this month and is meeting every Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Each group is capped at eight participants to foster an intimate, supportive setting where everyone can share openly.
