Melville-based company helps provide healthcare devices
A consortium has reached an agreement to enable distribution of the Henry Schein Skin Staple Remover and the Henry Schein Disposable Skin Stapler at all healthcare facilities.
The agreement is between Health Future, a health care consortium owned by hospitals and health-care system in Oregon, and Henry Schein, Inc., based in Melville and the largest provider in the world of healthcare solutions to dental and medical practices.
The Disposable Skin Stapler has an ergonomic design so that it can easily handle 35 316L high-quality staples made of stainless steel. It has a high speed of stapling to reduce the risk of cross contamination and improve efficiency. The stapler is sterile and made for a single use and has a plastic cartridge which is transparent for visibility. The Skin Staple Remover is also sterile and single use and is compatible with wide and regular staples.
The two devices will be used by Health Future for the closure of wounds across its network of 22 clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
News of such agreements and their benefits for patients and the healthcare community is often made known with flyer printing.
The Chief Executive Officer of Health Future, Matt Mikesell, said that the proven track record and commitment of Henry Schein to efficiency and innovation aligns with the core values of his company. He added that this agreement will enhance the ability of his consortium to standardize care, elevate the experience of patients, and improve quality.
