Melville organization to hold informational meeting

100 Women Who Care About Long Island will hold a meeting this April at Marriott Melville Long Island.

Those who are curious about the 100 Women Who Care About Long Island organization can attend an informational meeting. The group will discuss their impact on the community, while detailing how attendees can become involved with the organization. Anyone who participates in networking activities like this can use business card printing to provide new connections with contact details.

The group was started by Karen Dunigan in 2006. The idea was to bring together 100 women to collaborate on raising funds for local charities in need of support. Currently, there are more than 900 chapters of the organization located worldwide that include men, kids, and teens chapters. During each meeting, three members of the group suggest charities in need of urgent support. The winning charity is decided by a majority vote.

The next meeting for 100 Women Who Care About Long Island will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, subject to actions taken in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The event is free, but people who want to join must register in advance. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
