Glen Cove residents have been asked to consider rolling up their sleeves and take part in a simple way to help save a life.
The community is set to host a blood donation drive, and all support will be appreciated. Those who are considering coming out are asked to book their appointment, and the function will be set up at 49 Forest Avenue.
When they arrive at the site, the participants will check in and will be asked to go through a pre-donation screening. Once they are given the green light, the blood collection will take place, and the entire process usually only takes about an hour. In response to the Covid pandemic, masks are required, and other measures will be in place to help prevent its spread.
It was noted that the donor drive will make collections of platelets, whole blood, and plasma. Distributing leaflets and other small publications to area households may be a highly effective way to promote a community event like this, and a flyer printing company is the place to go for these sorts of customized marketing materials.
The Glen Cove Community Blood Drive will offer the public a chance to be an everyday hero on Saturday, July 31. Appointments can be made for any time between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
