Glen Cove households that have gently used items to sell are welcome to take advantage of a special event that will help them turn their trash into someone else's treasure.
The city has organized a Community Yard Sale, and it will be filled with thrifty finds. Glen Cove High School will be the location for the function, and the charity of choice for the occasion will be the Landing School PTA.
Members of the public who would like to set up a sales table for the day can book a space in advance for $25. It is anticipated that there will be high foot traffic, which means there will be plenty of opportunities to sell. As it will be promoted in a variety of ways, including social media, it may attract shoppers from the local area and further afield as well.
Community flea markets and other pop-up activities can be fun ways for residents to earn some money while cleaning out their closets, and also keeping unwanted items out of area landfills. A poster printing company can help to effectively market such an event throughout an area.
This chance to support the Landing School PTA will open its gates at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 2. At the time of writing, its registration system is still open and accepting space bookings.
