Glen Cove organizes afternoon of festive fun
The Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce recently announced that the registration system for the vendor market that will be part of the community's Holiday Festival is now open, and local small businesses are encouraged to take part.
The Chamber and the community's Downtown BID will be welcoming the public for a festive afternoon in early December. It will offer an assortment of activities, and it will be set by Village Square on Bridge Street.
The vendors that are approved will be able to set up shop starting at 11:00 am, and crafters and other makers, as well as those that sell pre-packaged food, are welcome. They will need to supply their own table and chairs as well as any decor they wish to use.
The plans for the afternoon include live entertainment, carriage rides, light refreshments, and a variety of costumed characters with a visit from Santa himself. Candy canes will be distributed, and there will be other fun as well.
A holiday market can be a valuable opportunity for the vendors that take part. Table and booth decor may help to attract the attention of the shoppers, and they can be ordered from local printing services companies.
