Summer brings seafood celebration

Clam bakes are a well-loved tradition in the Glen Cove area, and one that’s set for late summer will benefit Long Island kids.

The Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club will be the charity of choice for the Clam Bake Fundraiser that will be held at the Bailey Arboretum. The activity has been on a brief “pause”, but it will be back and bigger than before.

The afternoon of fun in the sun will combine freshly cooked seafood with lawn games, live music and other outdoor fun. The diners will be treated to clams , lobster and oysters, as well as traditional sides such as potatoes, corn, peppers and sausage. Salad is also on the menu, and dessert will be served as well. The adults can cool off with a cold beer or glass of wine, and only a limited number of tickets are available. They cannot be purchased at the door so must be pre-booked.

A seafood boil or bake themed fundraiser can be a fun way for an organization to both raise funds and awareness of its work. A poster printing company can prepare decor along with a variety of marketing materials.

This chance to enjoy a seafood feast while supporting youth development will bring the food and fun to Bailey Arboretum on August 23rd. Tickets are $150.
