Glen Cove will be playing host to jolly ol’ Saint Nick and his helpers this year.
The Glen Cove Youth Bureau’s Milk and Cookies with Santa will combine sweets, photo ops, and holiday fun in one family friendly event.
The evening centers around cookies and milk, which will be available in abundance to all attendees. A free photo with Santa Claus will also be provided to children at the event. The festivities will be finished off with a reading of a holiday story. The milk and cookies are a huge attraction in the Glen Cove area every year, drawing close to 200 children last holiday season.
The event is sponsored by the Glen Cove Youth Bureau. The bureau was established nearly 35 years ago as an organization dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe environment for youth in the community. The center offers a variety of services to young people and their families aimed at helping them reach their full potential, including after school programs and free events.
The Glen Cove Youth Bureau’s Milk and Cookies with Santa will be held on December 18 at the Glen Cove City Hall Main Chambers. There are two opportunities for cookies: one from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm, and the other from 7:15pm to 8:00 pm. Reservations are required and space is limited.
