The Glen Cove area is welcome to be a part of a celebration that will mark this 150th birthday of Garden City, and it will also raise funds for a local historical society.
This evening soiree, which has been planned by The Garden City Historical Society, will honor area organizations and individuals who help make the village a great place to call home. The attendees will also be able to learn more about the history of the village, all while enjoying an elegant affair with friends old and new.
Tickets for the benefit are on offer (for $150, fittingly) and group bookings may be available. Each guest will be treated to before dinner cocktails as well as dinner, and auctions and raffles are also on the agenda. Once the meal is over, the attendees can take a spin on the dance floor, confident that they are doing a good turn in more ways than one.
The suggested dress for the occasion is cocktail chic. The Garden City Hotel is set to host this gala affair on September 20th. The host noted that all donations will be tax deductible.
